My sister passed away from cancer in January 2024. She died one week before her birthday. The day after she passed, I caught this beautiful sunrise outside my window and wondered if that was her last farewell. So I captured it and decided to paint it. While we were not all that close, she did become an excellent photographer and her work was shown in various galleries throughout California. I hope this painting does her justice.
