I originally painted this back in 2010. This beautiful tulip magnolia tree was growing in the Filoli Garden Estates in Woodside, California 30 miles south of San Francisco.

I recently reworked this painting. It was originally 22" x 30". I brought it down to a 16" x 20" size and focused on one of the flowers. By doing this, I have made the tulip magnolia the focal point of the painting. The bright, white mat complements the painting well and it would look nice in a home or office setting.
