The idea of using just a palette knife and a mister lent itself to the notion of painting lightning. This lightning storm was painted with both watercolor paint and gouache paint. The gouache paint is much more viscous than watercolor paint and acts similarly to oils. As a result, I was able to apply the white gouache paint directly over the night sky. This is the final piece of the Palette Knife collection. I hope you enjoy this painting as much I enjoyed painting it. I hope you consider giving this painting, and possibly along with the others in this collection, a home.
